In My Calvins
Project Overview
Type: Fashion Photography (Personal Project)
Role: Photographer, Stylist, Art Director
Tools: Canon EOS 6D Mark II, Lightroom, Photoshop
Year: 2020
The Challenge
Inspired by the original In My Calvins campaign, I wanted to create my own version that brought in local Florida models and diverse representation. The goal was to challenge myself as a creative by handling photography, styling, and art direction, while also reimagining what the campaign could look like through my perspective.
The Creative Approach
I carefully selected underwear and outfits for each model based on what best fit their body type and personality, ensuring each look felt natural yet advertisement-ready. The shoot was styled to stay true to the Calvin Klein aesthetic, clean, bold, and confident while adding my own voice through diversity and individuality.
By controlling every aspect of the process, from wardrobe to directing poses, I aimed to capture images that felt authentic to the brand but unique to my vision.
The Final Photography
Recognition
The project gained international attention when Calvin Klein Brazil applauded several of the photos I shared on Instagram, a proud moment that validated both the concept and execution.
Takeaway
This project demonstrates my ability to reimagine global campaigns while serving as a one-person creative team, directing, styling, and photographing for a professional-level outcome. It reflects my commitment to diversity, brand sensitivity, and storytelling through fashion photography.
